A guide to how our costs are calculated
Baileyfields believe that legal fees should be transparent and easy to understand, that's why when you instruct us you will receive a breakdown of exactly how our charges are incurred. In many cases we are able to undertake work for a fixed fee, so from the start you will know exactly how much the work will cost you, allowing you to remain in control of what you pay us.
If we are unable to undertake the work on a fixed fee basis you can be assured that our rates are highly competitive and at our first meeting we will advise you of the costs involved.

CONTINGENCY FEE WORK
If you are bringing a claim, we may be able to act for you on a contingency fee basis. This means that payment of our costs is fixed at 30% of your damages and payable when your case is concluded and then, only payable if we have been successful. If your case is not successful, you do not pay us anything. Because there is an element of risk we are only able to accept this basis of payment in certain cases. On our first meeting we will be able to tell you whether this is a possible method of funding and this, together with any preparatory work, will be undertaken free of charge.
